Just a reminder that all parents with students who will be entering kindergarten in September 2012 are invited to come bring our future students for an orientation night. Students will get to experience some centres such as cut and paste, playdough, books and magnetic boards. The night will end with a ride on a school bus! Welcome to Kindergarten Night runs on Thursday, May 17 from 5-6:30 pm. Hope to see you there!

Denim Day – Raising Money For Cancer Research!
May 15, 2012 by tbes · No Comments · Uncategorized
May 15th was “Denim Day.” Students and staff wore denim and donated money to raise funds for cancer research. To boost the donations, Madame Woolfries decided to cut her hair to donate it to a child who needs a wig due to cancer and to let two students who brought in donations do the cutting! The draw was made and Claudia and Justin were the winners! Olivia in grade 2 cut her hair the night before and stood up with Madame for moral support. It takes a lot of courage and empathy to do this! We are proud to be Tec Beeton Stingers!

The students in Mr. McPherson’s grade 7 class have been visiting the same residents each month and have developed their relationships with their senior partners. In the picture below, we see Matt G. displaying caring and empathy for his partner who no longer has adequate small motor skills to paint. THIS is what caring looks like! Tec. Beeton Stingers have GREAT character!
