The grade 3 students presented some pioneer dances to parents, grandparents and other relatives. Pioneer life is part of the Social Studies curriculum. Thank you goes out to Mrs. Linda Morris, a retired teacher, who taught the students to dance.

Internet Safety Presentations

May 16, 2013 by · No Comments · Uncategorized

Thank you goes out to School Council who received a grant to have an Internet safety presentation brought into the school for students in grades 5 to 8. As well, an evening program was available for parents. Students, parents and staff learned that whatever is put out on the internet is permanent and public, even if we think we have deleted something. The golden rule for internet etiquette is, “If you would not do it in real life, do not do it online.”

    Drama Workshops for Grades 3-6

    April 3, 2013 by · No Comments · Uncategorized

Students in grades 3-6  participated in a free  50 minute drama workshop this week, where they learned to sing and dance to “The Candy Man”  from the musical theatre production of “Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory.” The workshops were led by Sarah-Jane O’Donnell, formerally the producer of the children’s theatre program at the Gibson Centre and presently the owner of the new Beeton local theatre group, Crazy Pants Theatre. Dances were led by choreographer Debbie Collins. It was a great way to introduce a lot of students to musical theatre! We have quite a few potential “Triple Threats” right here at Tec Beeton!
